is it coincidental that all of this collective energy swirling around these parallel paths we all seem to be on is tangibly surging to the surface right now, just as you three have made your way to chattanooga? If so, THANKS!
By the way, I am going back to see M.Helms at the Library tomorrow (yes, she works saturday) to see if she can set up a meeting with the half century folks re: underwriting digitizing the oral history tapes there. If that can not happen in short order, we'll need a plan B to get that done soon for Highland Park and Main Street projects, at the very least. Any other ideas? At the very least I need to hear the quality, if not the just the content, to know if its usable audio.....

I'm all about that meeting, if I can be of any support there. I have digitized tapes before, so I know a bit about the process. Let me know what all comes of it tomorrow!
great. of course i will let you know. Meanwhile, There is a guy who works there (jim) who offered to take some cassettes home and do them on his MAC. that was an unauthorized offer. i don't think mary helms wants him working from home on that, and i don't think he wants to spend too much of his own time. i'm hoping that we can get those half-centeurians to see the value and maybe write a check to send the tapes over to Continental Films to just do it all.
Mary, that's a great idea. Let the pros handle it! Surely we could get someone to pay for that.
